This article aims to deepen the contradictions and paradoxes regarding the conception of work in contemporary bio-capitalistic society according to the theories of three social philosophers of work: Zygmunt Bauman, Jeremy Rifkin and Dominique Méda. After outlining this scenario, we will show the strategies to rethink contemporary work and its values in a critical perspective made possible by new social pedagogies and the communicative and value-sharing potential of social media and the Internet.
