The main aim of this contribution is to reflect upon the relationship between family and sport within so called “leisure time”, stressing the importance of this qualitative experience as a means capable to promote children’s education. Moreover, the contribution will also identify the main pedagogical strategies that can be utilized by parents to promote the participation of their sons and daughters in sport and active recreation within leisure and free time activities in our contemporary society.

Abstract
