This chapter aims to provide an overview of the inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education from different perspectives. In the introductory part, the concept of inclusion, consi dering the biopsychosocial model of disability, will be theoretically addressed. In the second part, it will be demonstrated how, in accordance with international legislative documents, individuals with disabilities must be guaranteed the right to access quality higher education on an equal basis with others. In the third part, it will be highlighted that despite the formal recognition of the right to education at the legislative level, available data indicate the persistence of inequalities between individuals with and without disabilities. Finally, in the fourth and fifth parts of the chapter, some guidelines for the full inclusion of students with disabilities in higher education will be summarised.
