This paper aims to underline the importance of applying the CLIL methodology in teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of EU language policies. The Russian language is part of the history and identity of the European peoples. It is a language of primary importance for the promotion of international education as an education that promotes intercultural competence and mutual understanding between peoples and cultures.
